Konka

West coast bass. Dubstep, UK garage,
drum & bass and halftime.

He mixes with purposeful precision, fast transitions, and genre-defying blends.

Konka has earned a strong reputation in the west coast bass music scene as a taste-making producer with a distinct ear for future sounds. His sound draws from dubstep, UK garage, drum & bass and halftime, featuring twisted, distorted sound design, tight, punchy percussion, and classic rave and club aesthetics.

His musical roots come from years as a drummer and performer, leading to a natural progression into dance music after discovering drum & bass and dubstep in 2010. He earned residencies at Vancouver's top bass music nights, including Digital Motion's SUBculture Saturdays.

Behind the decks, Konka lets his sets take shape in the moment. Guided by the crowd, he mixes with purposeful precision, fast transitions, and genre-defying blends to deliver a set that's fresh every time, embodying the music with his stage presence and inviting the crowd into every moment. For Konka, a great set isn't just about keeping the floor moving, it's about bringing people together in discovery and connection.

With releases on Deep Dark & Dangerous, Wormhole Music and Street Ritual, he is committed to always pushing musical boundaries while remaining a champion of his own sound.
