Cookie Policy
This page explains what this site stores in your browser, who sets it, and how to clear it. For how we handle personal information more broadly, see the Privacy Policy.
The Short Version
This site does not set its own cookies and does not run advertising or tracking scripts. A few small preferences are saved in your browser so the site remembers your choices. The music players and our hosting provider may set their own cookies, which we describe below.
What This Site Stores
These are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and contain no personal information.
| Name | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
konka_ml_snooze, konka_ml_done, konka_ml_pages | Remembers that you closed or used the mailing list pop up, so it stops reappearing | 30 days after closing, 1 year after signing up |
konka-epk-sound, konka-epk-sound-vol | Remembers whether you muted the sound on the EPK page, and your volume | Until you clear it |
konka_players_ok | Remembers that you chose "Always load players", so embedded players load without asking | Until you clear it |
Embedded Players
Release and mix pages embed players from other services so you can listen without leaving the site. When a player loads, that service may set its own cookies or local storage, under its own policy:
- Spotify: spotify.com/legal/cookies-policy
- SoundCloud: soundcloud.com/pages/cookies
- Mixcloud: mixcloud.com/cookies
- YouTube: videos load from YouTube's privacy enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set tracking cookies until you play the video. See policies.google.com/technologies/cookies
If you are visiting from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these players do not load until you ask for them. Each one shows a button in its place, and nothing from that service loads until you press it. You can also choose "Always load players" to skip the question on future visits; clearing your browser storage resets that choice.
We do not control these cookies and receive no data from them.
Hosting and Security
This site is served through Cloudflare, which may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse. The contact and licensing forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending the message. Cloudflare's analytics are aggregated and do not track individual visitors. See cloudflare.com/cookie-policy.
Managing Cookies
You can view, block or clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop the site from working, though embedded players may not load and the mailing list pop up may show again.
Changes to This Policy
If what this site stores changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
